The TASO Austin Chapter held a General Membership meeting, Thursday, February 4, 2010. The minutes for this meeting have been posted for those of you unable to attend to peruse. The issue discussed was the ongoing lawsuit between TASO and the UIL. With the help of Matt Jones and Howard Seitzman, the specifics as they are known were explained. Questions asked were answered by myself, Jerry Barrett, or Matt and Howard. This meeting lasted an hour before it was adjourned.

After the General Membership Meeting was adjourned, Rick Womble took the floor to explain the results of the Crew Formation Committee. After a brief overview, members were broken into Divisions for a more thorough question and answer phase. If you have not taken the time to investigate, each division was represented on this committee. Bill Murphy represented Division 1, Duane Waddill represented Division 2, Andre Andrews represented Division 3, and Ben Monzingo represented Division 4/5. Each representative ran the division breakout. Afterwards, the general membership reconvened for a final Question and Answer session.

If you did not attend this meeting, it is imperative that you read over the Foundational Issues first. If you take the time to read this before you read the proposal, you will have a better understanding of what was presented. I will take the time here to tell you that I was impressed by the thought, and creativity that was put in to this project by Rick and the committee. This is the most politically neutral/division neutral proposal that could have been made. Take the time to read carefully before you make up your mind and vote. After you have digested the information from the Foundational Issues, please take your time and study the Crew Formation Policy that we will be voting on. Remember, this is the proposal. Yes and we maintain crews as laid out by this proposal, vote no and we all go back into the Pool.

If you wish to contact any of the members of the committee to ask questions, get a better understanding, etc., go to Zebra-Ware, look up their email addresses and write them. If you want my input, feel free to email me as well. I work for you
