It is necessary for you to attend these meetings to complete the paperwork the Chapter and TASO requires, as well as meet your obligation, per the Bylaws, to work Playoff games. Our New Member Training classes have already begun at the Palace.
Scrimmages will begin on August 12th. You must work 3 scrimmages to qualify for a Varsity schedule. If you are only scheduled for 2, find a 3rd to work. Attendance will be taken at all scrimmages. Be there, and be ready to work. If you have not yet begun your workouts, you are behind schedule. We are less than 3 weeks away from football season.
I have created a new blog for you to post opinions, questions, thoughts, concerns, or even (heaven-forbid) play situations. Please visit it early and often. You can click here to read and post: http://austinofficials.blogspot.com/.
A new web page has been set up to present information from the Supervisor of Officials. Check out the new page.
You can also join the new Blog for incoming Austin Football officials. Join today. The Mentor/Mentee program does not have to be exclusive to the football field. Post play situations, answer questions. The Chapter will only be as good as its members, so step up and become active. It is, after all, your chpater.
